Young singer Thia Megia is now in cloud nine as she got her chance to be part of American Idol Season 10's Top 10.
On Thursday (Friday in Manila), voters and American Idol judges -- Randy Jackson, rock star Steven Tyler and singer-actress Jennifer Lopez chose the 15-year-old Megia to continue her journey as one of Top 10 finalists of the hit US talent show after her powerful performance of the song "Out Here On My Own."
Before the announcement, Megia got praises from the show's judges.
"You sang Out Here on My Own. Steven was blown away by your perfect pitch. Jennifer loved it," American Idol host Ryan Seacrest said.
Megia said that it was unbelievable to hear praises from the judges.
Last Monday, international singing sensation Charice expressed her happiness that Megia found her way to "American Idol Season 10."
Megia, one of the favorites in "American Idol" from Mountain House, California, was a semi-finalist in America's Got Talent Season 4 in 2009.
In 2009, Megia met Charice at the David Foster and Friends concert in Vancouver, Canada.
Meanwhile, half-Filipino Jun Clint Gamboa did not make it to the American Idol Top 10.
