James Franco raised eyebrows at the Oscars with his lackluster performance alongside the overeager Anne Hathaway. Some people even went as far as accusing the actor of being stoned the entire time. Want to know the shocking truth?
“James does not drink or do drugs ever,” Franco’s rep tells E! Online’s Marc Malkin. The actor was reportedly “exhausted” from juggling school and Oscar rehearsals, flying between both coasts to do so.
Speaking of his school, James has started a feud with the Yale newspaper after a reporter criticized his Twitter account. The actor posted a picture of himself on his blog with “F*ck the Yale Daily News” scribbled across his face. Reporter Cokey Cohen who had written that James’s tweets “sort of suck” in an article entitled “Franco, #getittogether” replied to the actor’s photoshop efforts in a new article, “Franco, #wellplayedsir”. Cokey writes he’s “convinced that James Franco’s whole life is a form of postmodern performance art” and so his “Twitter fits right in.”
Even though his overly relaxed attitude as one of the Oscar hosts may have frustrated Anne Hathaway, it’s great to hear of a celebrity standing up for his sobriety. What do you guys think of this latest news?
